Q-LOG Windows Application Software
The VibWire-108 family of products can be configured and operated using the Q-LOG Windows applications software that is offered free with all of our products.
The Q-LOG software can be used to configure, make test measurements, display and record results In a series of user defined panel meters and charts. Compare the measurements between sensor inputs on the same chart.
The QLOG Software can be used to write the vibrating wire sensor calibration factors directly into the instruments, The most common industry standard temperature sensor parameters are automatically assigned by default.
The vibrating wire sensor inputs use the standard vibrating wire sensor calibration equation:
where A = Constant B = Linear Term C = Quadratic Term
|
Based on equation
SI (Units) = C(F²) + BF + A - D(T₀-T) + (S₀-S)
|
|
Vibrating Wire Sensor Configuration - Temperature
|
Calculations use the Steinhart-Hart equation
All of the sensor inputs are configured by assigning the sensor calibration factors from a manufactures datasheet.
Care has to be taken to ensure that the Constant and Quadratic terms are entered correctly.
It is possible using the Keynes Controls Vibrating Wire Sensor Calibration Factor test Google sheet to fully test a sensor configuration, before setting up any hardware. The Google sheet can be configured to operate in Hz, Digits, and SI Units.
Once the sensor configuration has been tested on the Google sheet then the sensor calibration factors can be cut and pasted into the VibWire-108 hardware using the QLOG Software.
The user will have every confidence that the instrument configuration is correct before deployment in the field.
Vibrating Wire Sensor Calibration Factor Test Google Sheet
All of the Keynes Controls vibrating wire instruments are supplied with access to our Sensor Calibration Factor Test Google Sheet.
The Google sheet enables the user to enter a sensor calibration factors for both frequency and temperature. The sensor output is calculated using the standard vibrating wire operating equations.
The sheet will display the same result of that returned as a measurement from a sensor interface.
Frequency Settings - Hz, Digits, SI Units
Temperature - °C (Steinhart - Hart) Equtions
Results can be observed on a smart phone, tablet and web browsers.

USB Media Converter
A range of isolated USB media converts are available for these products. The media converters can power the VibWire-108 directly from a PC USB Port.
USB-SDI12-Pro / USB-RS485-Pro
Remote Access
The VibWire-108 instruments containing digital communications can be connected to many different 3rd party data loggers that can be connected to Mobile Phone, Wi-Fi, Satellite networks for remote access.
Terminal Port Menu System
All of the Keynes Controls VibWire-108 8 Channel Vibrating Wire Sensor Interfaces have a terminal port that can be used to fully configure and test the instruments. The terminal port does not require any dedicated software and can be used by any third party application, be that a terminal emulator or intelligent device supporting RS323 communications. No driver software is required for RS232 port communications.
