+/- 5V DC / Voltage Analogue Input Card

The NP-1-VOLT-24-SD85 is an intelligent general purpose interface card suitable for direct connection to a range of analogue signals for conversion in a digital value.

The device can be connected to any suitable device supporting the SDI-12/5485 network and is fully integrated into the free Keynes Controls Q-LOG Data Display and Recording Software.

A PT100 temperature sensor interface is also included in the design. The card can be used to convert voltage to SI units. The card supports both SDI12 and RS485 digital networks.

User-Programmable Interface

The NP-1-VOLT-24-SD85 is User Programmable and can supply results in both raw or engineering unit format. A precision temperature sensor input is supplied for applications when temperature compensated measurements are required.

SDI12 Network Connection

All of the Keynes Controls NP-1-VOLT type single channel signal conditioning cards support a single SDI12 digital network and RS485 port. The card supports enhanced addressing.

This device  has been designed for operation in harsh environments and still has the ability to be easily installed in the field.No special installation tools or plugs are required, simply push into the cable clamps mounted on the front and back of the unit.

Installation

Connect the NP-1-VOLT-24-SD85 card as close as is practically possible to the input signal source  in order to minimise electrical noise. Strip the signal and network cable sheaths away from the central wire copper core exposing 3 mm of the metal wire. Open the wire clamp on the pluggable terminal blocks. Secure the network cables into the terminal block and fit onto the network port (A), as shown below.

Repeat the cable installation for the input signal source and temperature sensor as required. Figure 4 below shows the card network and sensor input ports. The cards can be secured into the custom waterproof encloure and fitted close to the sorce of the input signal. This minimises any chance of interference on the measured signal.
