Surface Mount assembly is a widely utilized process that involves automated pasting and soldering of components onto circuit boards. At Keynes Controls, our advanced machines excel in placing components on both sides of a board. Our machines are tailored for assembling smaller, lighter, and more potent boards, perfect for our sensors that cater to diverse geographic needs.

This sophisticated process enables achieving a higher density of component mounting, allowing numerous components on a compact board. By leveraging this method, we can craft products with increasingly smaller dimensions, meeting intricate assembly requirements. Moreover, it offers precise control over trace widths, reducing mechanical heat and noise, thereby enhancing product quality and performance.

The complete Custom Data Acquisition and Test System was designed and manufactured by Keynes Controls Ltd.

The systems consisted of 16 bit high speed and 24 bit High Resolution analogue input and output cards and associated digital interfaces. The measurement systems are fully synchronised between the measurements on a single instrument to other systems on a network. The DSP Processor cards monitor the network operations and correct for any time delays. The analogue input cards take utilise advanced digital signal processing operations to ensure that the phase and magnitude effects of the filtering is identical on the inputs.

Keynes Controls developed all the digital signal analysis and low level Windows and LINUX applications software.

Calibration 

Keynes Controls has the Manufacturing Assembly and Testing Facility to calibrate the sensors that is designed and manufactured at our facility in the UK. The calibrations can be electrical, chemical and physical. We have a range of equipment in house that can be used to undertake a wide range of operations.

Multi-parameter In-house Calibration

Multi-parameter calibration operations such as those used on the Keynes Controls manufactured pressure sensors enable both temperature and pressure levels to be used simultaneously to create a sensor that is corrected for temperature effects over a specified pressure range.  A Keynes Controls sensor can then be used in many varying environmental conditions to give a true and repeatable measurement.

Automatic Test Systems

Keynes Controls designs and uses automatic test systems in the manufacture of its product ranges. The automatic test systems are used to evaluate the integrity of the hardware and features in the embedded software and make the identification in errors are discovered and rectified as speedily as possible.
