Sonde Multiparameter Housing by Keynes Controls
The Sonde Multiparameter Housing by Keynes Controls are used to group the ARGES range of chemical sensors and brush unit to form a dedicated measurement solution. Any of the ARGES range of sensor can be fitted into any port. A submersible brush unit can be fitted to clean the fluorometer optics between measurements.
The Sonde Multiparameter Housing by Keynes Controls shown on this page have been designed to simplify real-time monitoring applications by creating a dedicated measurement solution.

Real-time measurements and stand-alone recording optionals are available.
Communications
The Keynes Controls multiparameter housings support as standard:
SDI12 - Direct connection to data loggers and Web Interfaces
RS485 - Direct connection to data acqusition system, Wi-Fi and LAN interfaces
MODBUS - Direct connection to plant wide SCADA systems - The unit acts as a MODBUS slave.
SONDE Deployment
The Sonde Multiparameter Housing by Keynes Controls is made from Solid PVC block for strength and durability. It has Eye-bolts that can be screwed into the top in order to fasten a strain-relief cable which is used to secure the sensor housing into position on deployment.
The specified chemical sensors are locked into the SONDE Housing. The complete housing can be directly connected via a single signal cable to industry standard Data Recorders and Web based communication interfaces.
Quality Measurements
All of the ARGES sensor range store the device serial number and calibration date internally. This information can be accessed on demand using the simple SDI12 industry commands. The serial number for the sensor is factory set and cannot be adjusted.
Optional Instruments - Brush and Level
All of the Keynes Controls multiparameter SONDE housings can be fitted with an optional brush unit and water level sensor.
The submersible brush unit is used to cleaning the fluorometer optics prior to a measurement operation. The water level sensor can be used to determine the depth of deployment and report the water level of the water above the sensor at a measurement operation is undertaken.
Some national environment agencies specify the minimum depth for which water quality measurements should be made.
The ARGES level sensor can is available in a range of models depending upon depth and accuracy requirements. The level sensor can also be adjusted to allow for local gravity and salinity effects. The user has full configuration control using the QLOG software. The standard water level sensor has a range of 0 .. 50m.

Sensor Operations
Each of the chemical sensors can be individually configured and used for measurements. The sensor can make measurements separately or concurrently depending only upon the user configuration. Keynes Controls recommends that the Fluorometers make independent measurements so that the excitation of the sensor does not contaminate the results from a similar adjacent sensor.
The 3 and 7 Port multiparameter sensors are supplied with a hardened waterproof case to make the complete kit easy to handle, support and deploy.
The case has space for additional sensors, the optional brush unit and a USB dongle. The dongle is used to connect the multiparameter housings to a Windows PC.
Optional USB Interface
The optional USB media converter can be used to connect a multiparameter instrument to a PC for configuration, testing and measurement operations.
All of the chemical sensors are supported with a free issue of the QLOG applications software.
Part Number: USB-SDI12-AG1
The ARGES Sensor range, seamlessly integrates into the Q-LOG Applications Software.
Our Q-LOG software runs on the widely recognised Windows Operating system, you have the ability to calibrate, adjust instrument network address, and effortlessly display measurements on a series of panel meters and charts. Conveniently store results in text based files for quick analysis in spreadsheets.
Our highly accurate chemical sensors provide chemical concentrations and local temperature directly readings in SI units (Engineering units). Customise the SI units based on your instrument's capabilities, including support for multiple units like turbidity sensors, all easily managed through the free applications software.
