Connect the Inclinometer to Wi-Fi Network

The Keynes In-Place-Inclinometers can be connected to a range of different digital networks. The instruments can be connected to a LAN or Wi-Fi when used with a optional media converter

MODBUS Instruments

Keynes Controls can supply In-Place-Inclinometers operating on the MODBUS Network.

Modbus In-Place-Inclinometer

Part Numbers

IPI-D-15-4MOD    Vertical Dual Axis I-P-I Solid State  +/- 15 Degree Range

IPI-S-15-4MOD    Vertical Single Axis I-P-I Solid State  +/- 15 Deg Range

MODBUS Network settings

Any software that supports MODBUS over RS485 can be used. The instruments act as slave units only and have to be polled for new measurements from the network master.

MODBUS Operations

A version of inclinometer sensors support MODBUS network operations. The inclinometer sensors act as a slave unit only and can communicate to suitable controllers and SCADA systems that support the MODBUS Protocol. The sensors support 16 and 32 bit registers.   .

The inclinometer sensors can be connected to a PC based system using the optional USB-485-Pro media converter. This device can power the inclinometers and supports the correct timing protocols for data transmission for MODBUS and standard RS485 network communications

Horizontal I-P-I Sensor

HORIZONTAL In-Place-Inclinometer

Keynes Controls manufactures a range of inclinometers used to measure horizontal movement. The sensors are single axis and support SDI12, RS485 and MODBUS networks.

1 = Y Axis   2 = X Axis  3 = Angular Movement

Part Number:  IPI-S-H-15-SDI12

Fixed Angle Offset Inclinometer

Fixed Offset In-Place-Inclinometer

Keynes Controls can supply sensors with a fixed offset angle. Available options are 30, 45 and 60 Degree.

The offset angle inclinometers are often supplied as single axis instruments only

Communications options are SDI12, RS485 and MODBUS.

1 = Y Axis  2 = X Axis    3 = Angle Offset

4 = Angular Movement

Part Number:   IPI-S-AX-SDI12 X=30, 45, 60

Additional Information

The optional Keynes Controls manufactured USB media converters can be used to connect an instrument, or instrument string directly to a Windows PC for setup and testing.
