The system shown was developed for a client. The system is modular in assembly, supports a range completely isolated digital input and outputs cards, 24 bit synchronised analogue input and output channels, specialised signal conditioning and dedicated Digital Signal Processing calculations.

DSP Processor Card

The DSP Processor card developed by Keynes Controls was meticulously designed and crafted to oversee high-speed data acquisition interfaces and synchronize measurements effectively. These systems excel at ensuring synchronised measurements among all inputs within an instrument and between instruments on a network.

The DSP card adeptly handles timing disparities between instruments, rectifying data paths for seamless synchronization. Furthermore, the digitally calculated analogue anti-alias filters maintain precise phase delays and magnitude responses. Notably, all channels benefit from uniform anti-alias filtering, automatically adjusted to cater to varying sample rates.

Network communication is by the Ethernet LAN.

Analogue Interfaces

The analogue input cards are supplied in 4 channel optically isolated blocks and connect into the instrument on a custom back planes. With samples adjustable up to a maximum sample rate of 20 KHz. The cards offer 16 bit input resolution and were supplied to operate at different input ranges,

Analogue Output Card

Keynes Controls offers a custom analogue output card that is designed to provide high-precision and reliable outputs for a variety of applications. This card offers both +/- 10 V and 0-30 mA current output, which can be switched for all outputs as per the requirement. With the capability to update outputs up to 10 thousand times per second, this card ensures accurate and up-to-date readings at all times.

The card is equipped with a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) card that controls the output levels and switching operations. This ensures that the outputs are accurate and consistent, even in complex and dynamic operating environments. The output channels can be individually assigned in amplitude and type. The output resolution of 16 bits ensures that the signals are converted with high precision, making it ideal for applications where accuracy is paramount. The low-level Windows driver software provided by Keynes Controls makes it easy to use the card's capabilities with any compatible software.
